How to File Electronically

Please note that parties without legal representation are not required to file documents electronically, except as expressly provided in Local Rule 5005-4(a)(2) and (a)(3). Pro se debtors may not electronically file documents. 

 

Those required to file electronically pursuant to KYWB Local Rule 5005-4 must have both an individual PACER account and a CM/ECF NextGen account to e-file in this Court.

PACER Account

  • Visit the PACER website to register for an individual account
  • If you already have your own individual PACER account, but it was created prior to August 11, 2014, you must upgrade your account before you can electronically file in this Court. Please click here for instructions (PDF version) on upgrading your PACER account.

KYWB CM/ECF NextGen E-Filing Access

  • To request a NextGen e-filing account, remit a new registration directly through PACER. Once submitted, the Court will review the registration and either approve, deny, or request additional information. If the account is approved, you will then use your PACER credentials to e-file wth our Court.
  • If you have a KYWB CM/ECF legacy account and know the login and password, link your PACER and ECF accounts. Please click here for instructions (PDF version).  Once the accounts are linked, you will use your PACER credentials to e-file wth our Court.
  • If you have a KYWB CM/ECF legacy account, but do not know the password, submit a new registration request to e-file directly through PACER. Once submitted, the Court will review the registration and either approve, deny, or request additional information. If the account is approved, you will use your PACER credentials to e-file wth our Court.
