The Bankruptcy Strategic Planning Group Subcommittee on Local Rules decided to separate legal rules from administrative or procedural rules in this revision of the Local Rules.  The new Local Rules, approved July 9, 2009, are much shorter and more succinct and have removed any duplicate information that may be found in the District Court Local Rules. We have also added an Administrative Manual that addresses procedural matters.  Many of the procedural type former Local Rules have been incorporated into the Administrative Manual.  New rules include video conferencing and Chapter 11 and 12 discharge and closing procedures.

In addition, the uniform Local Rule numbering system was used to re-number and organize those matters that remain in the Local Rules.  We have provided guidance to make your transition to the new Local Rules easier.
