GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT LOCAL

Scope of the Local
Rules
( 9029-1) |
|
|
|
|
|
These Local Rules of practice for the United States Bankruptcy
Court for the Western District of Kentucky provide standardized
procedures for the convenience of the bench and bar, and they: |
|
|
a. supplement
the Federal Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure and the Joint Local Rules for the Eastern and Western Districts of Kentucky; |
|
|
|
|
|
b. shall be
construed to be consistent with the above-mentioned rules; |
|
|
|
|
|
c.
shall be
construed to secure the just,
efficient and economical determination of bankruptcy cases and
proceedings; and |
|
|
|
|
|
d. supercede all previous
Local Rules and General Orders. |

|
|

These rules shall apply to all cases
and proceedings filed on or
after December 1, 2004. |

Meaning of
references to "Court" and "Clerk" (
9001-1) |

|
|
|
|
a.
"Court"
shall mean the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Western
District of Kentucky; and
|
|
|
|
|
|
b. "Clerk" shall mean the Clerk of the United States
Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Kentucky. |

|

Citation of Local
Rules (5001-1) |
|
|
|
|
|
These rules shall be cited as "L.B.R. {insert Rule Number, such as 1.4}
(W. D. Ky.)."
